Is top performance possible despite severe conditions of air impurity? This is a simple matter with smooth-pipe heat exchangers from GEA. Long service lives and simple cleaning possibilities are prime characteristics of these solutions. Counter-current heat exchange, stainless steel, or galvanized steel: these offerings offer the product you need for your applications. The heat-exchange surface consists of smooth, round galvanized-steel pipes. All enclosure parts consist of stainless steel, and are joined during production by shielded arc welding. Air heaters are provided with pipe bottoms that are installed such as to enable sliding: which in turn compensates for expansion-contraction differences between the tube bundle and the lateral wall. All welding connections are etch-treated after completion of processing. The connections to heating agents are equipped with DIN 2635 welding neck flanges.

These heat exchangers are classified under the required safety category of the pertinent EC Directive 97/23/EC for Pressurized Equipment, depending on the conditions under which they are intended to operate. They are manufactured in a European GEA plant, in accordance with the state of the art, and on the basis of project-related drawings and parts lists. As a result, all parts designed for operation under pressure are dimensioned with consideration taken of operating conditions as stipulated in the AD2000 body of regulations. Our products are subject to continuous quality control, as set forth in our Quality Management System, based on EN 9001:2000. Our product portfolio also includes heat exchangers with smooth, steel pipes that are hot-dip galvanized, or that are provided with protective paint finish.
