Close Control – E Range Direct Expansion Systems The Escana Range of Direct Expansion air conditioning units is designed to provide the ultimate in precise control of temperature, humidity and filtration in the most demanding environments. The concept is based on the reliability, efficiency, flexibility and serviceability. A major restyling of this range of close control air conditioning units has resulted in a stylish new look with modern graphite cabinets complete with curved fascias and strong front grilles. These ergonomically crafted units do not look out of place in areas where they are on public display including meeting and telecoms rooms, data centres and open plan offices. Built to international close control air conditioning standards, and backed by BS EN ISO 9001 quality certification, the E Direct Expansion Range is available in cooling capacities from 22 kW to 120 kW. Fully modulating chilled water cooling is available as standard, as is the state of the art Carel controller. The new controller provides the intelligence to drive the traditionally reliable hardware, helping to achieve modern targets of lower energy consumption. The unit also has in-built flexibility to talk to any manufacturer's building management system. The units can be networked together or retain stand-alone capability. Entry of data is via a soft-touch custom keypad which, along with the display, can be mounted on the unit or in a remote location. The controller can be configured to drive either onboard or external devices, such as pumps and fluid coolers that may form part of a glycol-free cooling system or a fresh air unit with multi-stage cooling or heating.
