Press Release of 11 June 2008
GEA boosts its filter business in France
|
Delbag Filtration de l'Air integrates activities of Astair Sarl
The GEA company Delbag Filtration de l'Air has now integrated the activities of Astair Sarl in Pessac, Alfortville, France, and has taken over the staff of this company. Both companies are specialized in the marketing of filter media and consumables for filter equipment. “Our marketing activities complement each other exceptionally well,” said Dr. Frank Vossloh, member of company management and responsible for West European Sales for the GEA Air Treatment Division. Delbag Filtration de l'Air, working from its offices in Paris, is especially active in northern France. A number of new customers will come from Astair to GEA, especially from the areas of Bordeaux and Lyons. Former Astair business relationships will now be continued under the GEA brand. Integration into the GEA Group is effective retroactively from the first quarter of 2008.

As a result, Delbag Filtration de l'Air provides another base for further growth. “Thanks to the financially strong parent company, and the syn-ergy of the Sales Offices, the team in France could well expend its sales considerably,” as Thomas Horstmann confidently predicts. Dr. Horstmann is responsible for coordination of the international GEA Filter Division, as well as for general management of the German GEA Delbag-Luftfilter Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH. Management of the GEA Air Treatment Division assumes that integration of the company will lead to significant sales growth at Delbag Filtration de l'Air.
